Frequently Asked Questions

What is the mission of this organization?

The Association of Pulmonary Advanced Practice Providers (APAPP) was founded by Nurse Practitioner, Corinne Young in 2020. It is the first association solely focused on Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) working in the realm of pulmonary medicine. The association enables Nurse Practitioners, Physician Associates, and other pulmonary advanced practice providers the ability to join together under one membership – working towards a common goal of excellence in pulmonary medicine.

APAPP recognizes the void in the standards of training of APPs who choose to work in pulmonary medicine. Our goal is to create a home for pulmonary APPs and close the education gap by providing unique learning, Fellowship, and Certification opportunities. We invite all pulmonary advanced practice providers to join our network and collaborate with like-minded professionals. Together, we can achieve remarkable advancements in pulmonology, lung health, and respiratory medicine.

What are the benefits of joining APAPP?
