AMCP Foundation Travel Awards for HBCU Student Pharmacists
Through AMCP Foundation’s Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) Travel Award Fund, your company can support outstanding pharmacy students attending one of the accredited HBCUs that offer a PharmD degree. The award includes a one-year AMCP student membership and funds to defray registration, travel, and lodging expenses to attend an AMCP national meeting.
Your sponsorship or grant will promote representation and inclusivity in managed care pharmacy by supporting the educational efforts of the next generation of diverse and talented PharmD students. Did you know that only 11% of pharmacists in the U.S. are Black or African American? (Bureau of Labor Statistics, 2022) Attending AMCP’s national meetings provides all students the opportunity to expand their managed care network, learn about managed care residencies/fellowships, and study important topics in practice.
