Overview

WireXpert 500 from Softing certifies Cat5e/6/6A cable and WireXpert 4500 certifies up to Cat8 copper cable and fiber cable.  WireXpert adapters provide single-mode, multi-mode and MPO/MTP fiber certification.  What you need to know is that when you are ready to switch to Softing, you can trust WireXpert since it has been independently tested and approved for use by over 30 cable vendors to certify cables for cable warranty purposes.

WireXpert is the only platform with the Dual Control System™ -- graphical display on both the local and remote side of the cable that maximizes your efficiency when certifying alone, and when certifying large projects with 4 techs.

Fiber certification and troubleshooting can be performed using FiberXpert 700 Tier 1 certifier and FiberXpert OTDR 5000 Tier 2 certifier. The optical reflectometer tests multi-mode and single-mode fibers in short measurement times, saving time, and money. The FiberXpert provides an intuitive graphical display and depiction of fiber optic components, faults, and distance to fault.

NetXpert is the first cable tester and active LAN manager to prove cable speeds over copper and fiber using BERT (bit error rate test) to 10Gb/s.  NetXpert also performs SNR and delay skew all in one test.  NetXpert performs tests on copper, fiber, and POE networks.  Manage and troubleshoot active networks by discovering network devices, ping tests, and vlan tests across copper, fiber, or even WiFi.

LinkXpert and CableMaster testers are a cost-effective means of performing basic media tests such as wiremap, while offering active network tests with large touch screen and form factor that fits in your pocket.

    BERT tests your cable for throughput, as the cable is installed, and as it's subjected to environmental conditions.

    NetXpert XG2 can run BERT tests on copper or fiber cable.  NetXpert XG2 can be used to troubleshoot active networks and PoE.

    • LinkXpert M3 is a versatile cable and network trobleshooter that helps solving network issues from cabling up to complex Ethernet related problems. With connectivity to all 3 media, copper, fiber and Wi-Fi, LinkXpert M3 is perfect for diagnosing any common LAN Ethernet media.

    The device offers a unique combination of cable tests and extensive Ethernet network diagnosis on copper, fiber and Wi-Fi to help users solving daily issues in ethernet networks and to keep the network up and running 24/7. For commissioning networks, LinkXpert can run automated tests that can be configured by the user. For example, if new PoE switches had been rolled out, LinkXpert can be configured to test PoE up to 90W and obtain port information like LLDP. For troubleshooting, users can also run all tests individually, for example, use the optional video microscope to inspect fiber optic connectors.
