The 2026 BICSI Cabling Skills Challenge brings together top ICT installers and technicians to compete in a series of rigorous, hands-on events – from copper and optical fiber installations to troubleshooting and splicing. This competition not only showcases cabling excellence but also offers a chance to earn industry recognition, a cash prize, and the prestigious “Installer of the Year” title. Whether you're competing, sponsoring, or cheering from the sidelines, it's an incredible celebration of skill, precision, and professionalism in the telecommunications installation field.

Students from Richard O. Jacobson Technical high School in Pinellas County, supported by the Ryan Nece Foundation, will attend BICSI Winter 2026 on Tuesday, 20 January. During their visit, they will be introduced to the limited energy, and information and communications technology (ICT) industries, gaining first-hand insight into the diverse and rapidly expanding career pathways. Their experience will include an opportunity to splice fiber, engage with industry professionals, and explore the Exhibit Hall. This collaboration reflects BICSI’s commitment to inspiring the next generation of ICT talent and strengthening workforce development across our community.
