TAGSS® is a device that provides trans-abdominal gastric access for the simultaneous use of Laparoscopic instruments along with standard endoscopes & endoscopic instruments. TAGSS® allows for the performance of complex hybrid interventional endoscopic procedures utilizing the surgical principal of triangulation. TAGSS® is a percutaneous abdominal-gastric cannula with an internal bumper. It is endoscopically placed via standard pull-through PEG technique. The TAGSS® device has several components which includes a working TAGSS® endoscopic-laparoscopic port with the ability to pass all generic 5mm laparoscopic instruments, Cap with insufflation capability and an adjustable external disc to secure the TAGSS® cannula against the anterior abdominal wall prior to surgical instrumentation. The external disc provides for pre-positioned sutures to allow for closure of gastro-cutaneous or gastro-peritoneal openings.
