Connected Motorcycle Consortium
The Connected Motorcycle Consortium (CMC) - established by BMW Motorrad, Honda Motor Co. Ltd. and Yamaha Motor Co. Ltd. - is focussed to enhance rider safety by implementing Cooperative-Intelligent Transportation Systems (C-ITS) applications in Powered Two-Wheelers (PTWs).
To accelerate the development of this technology for production vehicles, the three manufacturers 2015 have started their cooperation by founding an open consortium which now is encouraging other PTW OEMs, suppliers, research institutes etc. to join as members and to actively contribute to this important safety technology for PTWs.
