Federal Housing Finance Agency
We are an independent regulatory agency responsible for the oversight of vital components of the secondary mortgage markets—the housing government sponsored enterprises of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and the Federal Home Loan Bank System. Combined, these entities provide more than $5.5 trillion in funding for the U.S. mortgage markets and financial institutions. Additionally, FHFA is the conservator of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. www.fhfa.gov/doingbusiness.
