This little guy was seen hopping through the tall grass, foraging on a variety of seeds and small insects. This species is quite common in open, tree filled spaces, often hanging out in small shrubs and bushes throughout their breeding season. Come winter, they'll migrate to warmer destinations.
One last hint: Their distinct rufous crown and black eyeline might just be enough to tell them apart from their very many, similarly colored relatives.
