AEF is a group of school districts advocating for financial equity in the state system of school financing. For almost 3 decades, the state budget has created winners and losers. We are committed to fairness, not by taking from well-funded districts, but by raising all districts from the bottom up.
Come to our booth to get a free handout with your district’s 20-year trends in revenue and spending, and get a free Board Resolution that asks the legislature to address these disparities. Revenue limits hurt students all across the state, limiting innovation, preventing districts from offering more programs, better staffing, and newer materials. There's no logical reason why one district should get substantially more money per student than their neighbors.
