  • INFINIUM(tm) Lower Yellowing Epoxy System
The INFINIUM System is EPON LY(tm) Resin 1810, modified aliphatic epoxy, used with EPIKURE LY(tm) Curing Agent 3801, a modified cycloaliphatic amine. This solvent-free system offers improved worker safety (non-isocyanate) and faster return to service....

  • The INFINIUM™ Low Yellowing Epoxy System can be formulated into a solvent-free, lower yellowing system with faster return to service. This non-isocyanate cure system offers an alternative to a traditional multi-layer system using an epoxy base coat and polyurethane topcoat with significant potential for cost savings.

Suggested applications for this system include industrial floor coatings, higher gloss floor coatings, as well as, bar and countertop coatings.  Starting formulations for a high gloss clear and gloss white enamel topcoats are available upon request.  After 500 hours in the QUV-A cabinet (4 hr. wet/4 hr. dry), a standard epoxy/cycloaliphatic system will have a Delta E (yellowing index) of ~ 25 units.  The same formulation (without any HALS or UV-absorbers) based on the INFINIUM™ Lower Yellowing System will have a Delta E of ~6 units.

  • EPI-REZ(tm) Resin 7720-W-50 Epoxy Dispersion
EPI-REZ Resin 7720-W-50 for development of ultra-low VOC (<50 g/L) coatings to protect concrete or metal. Waterborne coatings using EPI-REZ 7720-W-50 provide adhesion and corrosion-resistance that is superior to a commercial solvent-borne epoxy primer....

  • EPI-REZ Resin 7720-W-50 is a nonionic, waterborne epoxy dispersion based on a modified EPON™ Resin 1001-type solid epoxy resin supplied in water at 50% solids by weight. This dispersion can be formulated to provide the performance of solvent-based epoxy coatings at an ultra-low VOC (<50 g / L) content. EPI-REZ Resin 7720-W-50 can be used in non-HAP, waterborne formulations to protect either metal or concrete substrates. A variety of waterborne curing agents can be used with EPI-REZ Resin 7720-W- 50 (e.g. EPIKURE™ Curing Agents 6870-W-53 or 8530-W-75). Starting formulations are available for applications such as floor coatings or corrosion-resistant primers.

  • Hybrid Epoxy/Polysiloxane System using RSC-4628
EPOSIL™ Resin 5550, when used with RSC - 4628, is used to formulate isocyanate-free topcoats with superior outdoor durability. This epoxy-polysiloxane system may also be suitable for anti-graffiti, and coatings for higher temperature service (600 ˚F max)...

  • EPOSIL™ Resin 5550 is a polysiloxane modified epoxy resin for isocyanate-free, protective coatings. Topcoats based on EPOSIL™ Resin 5550 and Research Curing Agent RSC-4628 (a flexible aminosilane) can reduce the overall cost of ownership through improved durability and fewer coating layers. This unique hybrid epoxy/polysiloxane system yields an interpenetrating network that provides improved flexibility and superior resistance to weathering and dirt pick-up. Epoxy / polysiloxane topcoats can be formulated for pipelines, bridges, offshore platforms or even amusement parks. Specially formulated coatings can be developed for graffiti resistance or coatings for higher temperature service (< 600 °F).

When formulated with HALS, a high gloss white enamel based on this hybrid epoxy/polysiloxane system matched the color stability of a commercial, aliphatic polyurethane topcoat system after 1000 hours of QUV-A testing and provided superior yellowing resistance (Delta E of 2.5 units).
