The Tribal Public and Environmental Health Think Tank, in partnership with APHA and with support from CDC’s National Center for Environmental Health/Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry, hosted a conversation on climate and health in tribal communities. Presenters identified how changes in the climate and have impacted the health and lifeways of tribe; discussed the importance of climate and health initiatives to mitigate inequity and how tribal governments and tribal-serving organizations can address climate justice; and presented tribal strategies and frameworks to address climate and health challenges that also reduce future health disparities, celebrate tribal ways of life and traditional, cultural practices.
