Navigate challenges in a relational and authentic community.

At Gordon College, we know that you want to be an advocate for the vulnerable and make a difference in the face of disparity and inequity. But in a world with increasing complexity, we are often overwhelmed and frustrated by polarization and divisiveness.

At Gordon, we incorporate public health education and Christian-based worldviews to enhance the diversity of perspectives in the field and to elevate the effectiveness of our graduates as public health leaders. You’ll learn directly from public health experts within a relational and authentic community who create a safe space to wrestle with the challenges of public health.

Our MPH degree can be completed in 18 months and fits around your busy schedule. It combines online courses, given in 8-week blocks, with on-campus summer experiences that include opportunities for intensive learning, networking, and community building. We offer two tracks for our MPH degree:

  • Generalist Program: Students select from a variety of coursework in areas such as community health, epidemiology, and statistics to prepare them for interdisciplinary work in a variety of settings.
  • Health Policy & Management Concentration: Students develop, analyze and advocate for health policies and systems that strengthen communities in the United States and around the world.

Our certificate programs equip you with specific skill sets necessary to enhance your contributions to the field for a fraction of the time and cost. These programs include three 3-credit courses taken over 6 months and are offered in the following areas:

  • Community Health: Understand the roots of health disparities and engage with examples of effectively mobilizing communities to promote health equity.
  • Epidemiology: Learn how to understand, interpret, and design studies to quantify the distribution and determinants of disease.
  • Leadership & Health Management: Develop an informed personal leadership philosophy and apply management and finance principles to your organization.

The Graduate Public Health Program at Gordon will jumpstart or deepen your career. Discover how a unique combination of quality Christian-based education and relational and authentic community make ours a top program for the world today.
