U.S. EPA Indoor Environments Division
EPA's Indoor Environments Division (IED) provides programs and guidance to help individuals and communities understand the characteristics of the indoor environment that can impact an occupants’ health, comfort, and ability to perform. IED's main objective is to improve indoor air quality (IAQ) where people live, learn, work and play. Some of IED’s primary work involves IAQ in homes, schools and other buildings, indoor pollutants and sources, health impacts, and emergency preparedness.
