Bedrock is a public benefit corporation developing technology to make sure humans get ocean exploration right. Currently, subsea surveys are primarily about ships, assets, operations, and lots of people — not technology or data. Bedrock is changing this status quo by taking a data-first approach, improving data acquisition and management. Bedrock’s technology allows us to collect seafloor data faster, more efficiently, and more cheaply. More importantly, our technology makes ocean mapping safer, with minimal environmental impact and negligible risk to endangered animals.
