City Health Dashboard

  • Booth: 1435

More than 80 percent of U.S. residents live in urban areas, but until recently, most data on health, the factors that shape health, and the drivers of health equity have not been organized at the city or neighborhood level, but at the county or state level. That’s where the City Health Dashboard (www.cityhealthdashboard.com) comes in. Since launching in 2018, the City Health Dashboard (The Dashboard), housed at NYU Grossman School of Medicine’s Department of Population Health, has provided free, easily accessible and consistently updated data on over 40 measures of health and its drivers for 950+ cities and neighborhoods across the U.S in a one-stop-shop and feature-rich website. Communities can use the Dashboard to identify health gaps, compare their cities to others, and find curated resources to help them take action locally using data.
