  Title 24, Part 6 Overview:

  California's Building Energy Efficiency Standards, also known as Title 24, Part 6, have a far-reaching impact on the integration of PV systems, battery storage, and solar readiness in many building types. The 2022 standards are applicable to single-family homes, low-rise multifamily structures, nonresidential buildings, hotels, motels, and mixed-use buildings, and are set to update in 2025.

  EG4 Solution - The 24K Hybrid Solar Mini-Split:

  To help customers address some of the Title 24 requirements, EG4 introduces the 24K Hybrid Solar AC/DC Mini-Split. This solution not only fulfills regulatory standards but also streamlines the interconnection process for contractors and installers dealing with utility companies.

  The EG4 24K Hybrid Solar Mini-Split stands out with its cost-effectiveness at approximately $2.35 per square foot for a 1350 square foot building. We expect to receive CEC approval shortly. Customers utilizing it with an EG4 battery backup system may be eligible for a 25% reduction in solar use requirements for new builds.

  Real-World Application - An Industry-Relevant Use Case:

  A notable use case from a California installer highlights the impact of EG4's AC/DC Mini Splits. Focused on end-users, particularly homeowners on NEM 2 with true-up bills exceeding $1000 annually, this strategic solution demonstrates the versatility and effectiveness of EG4's innovations.

  To enhance solar capacity, customers can strategically expand solar capacity to offset consumption demand, which is crucial to preserving NEM 2 status. By integrating our AC/DC Mini Split, excess solar power can be redirected from the interconnection to meet heating and cooling needs – potentially saving 1500 to 3000 kWh per unit as daytime heating and cooling draw power from solar instead of the grid.
