AudiSee

  • Booth: SS5

AudiSee is a navigation tool for people who are blind or visually impaired, allowing users to confidently navigate the world on their own. Like bats using echolocation to understand their environment in the dark, AudiSee dynamically translates the location of objects in front of a person into audio cues, forming a mental map of their surroundings. It’s helpful to understand AudiSee as a “translator”, and vision as a “language” the blind do not speak. AudiSee translates visual information into a language that can be understood by people without functioning eyes. The device attaches at the waist, like a belt buckle, with LiDAR sensors obtaining 3D information to relay to the user through a speaker or headphones.
