Overview
Our Sentinel system provides an under-the-forest-canopy, on-the-edge AI monitoring to protect electric utilities and communities by reducing wildfire impacts. Our real-time system detects and reports fires in the incipient phase using visual images for rapid (under 2 minutes from ignition) human confirmation. It is functional in areas with no cellular communications with low false alarm rates. Our modular system leverages multiple sensor combinations to detect fires faster.
