History
The name "Grand Cru" is French and is traditionally translated as "Great Growth." It also refers to the level of classification for vineyards situated in the best terrain. Vines grown in these areas produce the finest wines.
Grand Cru Interests, L.C. was founded in 2000 to participate in the best oil and gas prospects, with a concentration on the US Gulf Coast Onshore region. The company’s primary goal is to develop ideas that have significant economic potential. Prospects have been developed ranging from potential for 2-3 wells to more than 100 wells.
The owners have over 40 years of experience developing prospects, drilling wells and finding many profitable oil and gas fields in Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida and internationally. Prospect development entails detailed geological mapping, well log analysis, licensing of 2d and 3D seismic data, seismic rock physics processing and analysis, leasing and sales. All prospects are reviewed and thoroughly vetted by Hill Geophysical Consulting, an internationally acclaimed seismic imaging and interpretation company.
