Scott Guthrie

As executive vice president of the Microsoft Cloud + AI Group, Scott Guthrie is responsible for Microsoft’s cloud computing fabric, artificial intelligence platform, and the company’s digital transformation strategy. This spans products and services such as Microsoft Azure, the global cloud computing platform, Microsoft Business Applications, including the automated business process capabilities of Dynamics 365, and low-code/no-code tools in the Power Platform.  It also includes a rich set of developer tools with Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code and GitHub, core commerce capabilities and infrastructure, and compliance solutions across the Microsoft Cloud.  The recent acqusition of Nuance Communications brings deep conversational AI and ambient intelligence domain experience to the portfolio.

Most recently, Guthrie was corporate vice president of the Microsoft Azure team. Since joining the company in 1997, he has made critical contributions to many of Microsoft’s essential cloud, server and development technologies, and was one of the founders of the .NET project.

Guthrie graduated with a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Duke University.

He is one of the premier industry analysts for truck freight demand, capacity, and pricing dynamics; spot market metrics; and the impact of macroeconomic changes on trucking demand. He is also a leading authority on changes in fleets’ equipment and driver populations and on the impact of trucking regulation on productivity and capacity.

Avery is a frequent speaker on the trucking outlook at association events and private meetings, as well as host of FTR's weekly Trucking Market Update podcast. He is the principal author, responsible for providing commentary, data analysis, and forecasts for the Trucking Update and Shippers Update services. He is also a regular contributor to the Truck and Trailer Outlook service, and a frequent author of the State of Freight Insights service.

Currently, he is leading the development of FTR’s upcoming Trucking Closer Look product, which will provide a comprehensive look at trucking capacity by segment. Avery has closely studied the transportation industry for more than 30 years as an editor, analyst, and researcher, including more than 20 years dedicated to the trucking industry.

Now, he draws deeply on this background to guide ISAAC’s product roadmap.

He has led the design, development, and implementation of telematics, video safety, lone worker health, and data science solutions for the largest transportation technology companies in North America over the past 17 years. Before joining ISAAC, Trent was previously responsible for managing the Solutions Engineering and Strategic Engagement Team for SmartDrive Systems.

Steven Todd

Steven Todd has spent the majority of his 35-year career in Transportation…and most of that in his true passion – Specialized Transportation. As Chief of Permits for the Illinois Department of Transportation, he served in management roles including Oversize/Overweight Permits, Fixed and Portable Weigh Scales, and Rest Areas. He led Illinois’ development of its first Automated Permit System which today, is still considered one of the best in the nation as it issues over 98% of all permit applications 24/7 without any human interaction.

Next, Steven served as Vice President of Transportation for the Specialized Carriers & Rigging Association where he primarily led ongoing efforts to bring harmonization among all State’s Oversize/Overweight Permitting Policies. This included increasing the number of states employing fully automated permit systems from 18 to 38 states as of today. He served as a co-author of 6 U.S. DOT Federal Highway Reports involving automated permitting, police and pilot escorting best practices among others. Mr. Todd served on numerous boards and committees including AASHTO’s National Advisory Council, CVSA’s Size & Weight, FHWA’s National Truck Parking Coalition and Emergency Route Work Group among others. He also produced several highly acclaimed training videos related to Specialized Transportation still in circulation today.

Today, Steven serves as Executive Vice President of Permitting for ProMiles Software Development Corporation whose permitting software is responsible for the issuance of nearly 50% of all OS/OW permits issued in the United States as well as state-of-the-art fuel tax and auditing software for the trucking industry.

Bob Magnant

Bob joined Vnomics in 2013 and is responsible for new customer onboarding as well as current customer success with Vnomics’ products. Prior to joining Vnomics, Bob managed a team at Harris Corporation’s RF Communications Division responsible launching and growing new products in adjacent markets within the US and internationally. He brings with him experience with strategic partnerships, business development and new product launches. Bob holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) and an MBA from the Simon Graduate School of Business. He has held a Certified Transportation Professional (CTP) designation from the National Private Trucking Council (NPTC) since 2017.
