  • Haws® Celebrates 120 Years of Innovation, Advancing Global Hydration and Safety Solutions

    Sparks, Nev. — 2026 — Haws Corporation is proud to celebrate 120 years of delivering innovative hydration and emergency response solutions that improve health and safety worldwide. Since its founding in 1906, Haws has remained committed to one guiding principle: innovation with purpose. 

    What began as a single idea has grown into a global legacy. Founder Luther Haws was inspired after seeing schoolchildren sharing a common drinking cup—a practice that posed serious health risks. In response, he created the world’s first sanitary drinking fountain from a brass bedpost, laying the foundation for what would become Haws Corporation. 

    Building on that early innovation, Haws expanded its product offerings in the 1950s to include emergency drench showers and eyewashes, after recognizing the need for improved industrial safety solutions. This pivotal moment established Haws as a leader in both hydration and emergency response equipment.
