CoapTech is a medical device company based in Baltimore, Maryland that manufactures devices to perform minimally invasive bedside procedures utilizing ultrasound and magnetic components. Our first product, the PUMA-G System, enables intensivists and international pulmonologists to place feeding tubes at the bedside. The PUG procedure (Percutaneous Ultrasound Gastrostomy) is an alternative to PEG and PRG that utilizes ultrasound and the Seldinger procedure without the use of an endoscope or fluoroscopy. PUG allows proceduralists to place feeding tubes on demand so there is no waiting on consults and no need to transport patients to a specialty suite. The procedure is safe and simple and can be performed in 30 minutes or less.
