This Immersive Hybrid Virtual Reality experience illustrates essential elements of identification, diagnosis, and treatment of familial hypercholesterolemia (FH). Through this sensory-immersive experience, a series of virtual reality animations will allow learners to explore the causes of FH, look at the burden of FH on patients and family, understand the pathways implicated in the disease (LDL-receptor dependent and independent), and visualize the mechanisms of action for current and emerging therapies for patients with this difficult-to-treat condition.
This immersive experience also investigates pearls of clinical assessment and therapy individualization for eyes with diabetic macular edema (DME) as well as neovascular age-related macular degeneration (nAMD), blended with engaging animations exploring key concepts in pathophysiology of DME and nAMD, as well as the latest advances in treatment strategies.
