The Focus Foundation is the only nonprofit research organization specializing in the research&treatment of children with X&Y chromosomal variations, such as 47,XXY (Klinefelter syndrome), 48,XXXY&49,XXXXY. 1 in every 500 children are born with an additive X or Y chromosome(s), but 75% of cases remain undiagnosed in their lifetime. Our mission is to 1) encourage collaborative patient focused outcomes between family, medical providers& intervention teams; 2) promote innovative global research on X and Y chromosomal variation disorders; 3) increase awareness&early detection.
