Geisinger is a physician-led healthcare system comprised of 10 hospital campuses, two research centers, the Steele Institute for Health Innovation, the Geisinger Health Plan, and the Geisinger College of Health Sciences – uniting Geisinger’s School of Medicine, School of Nursing, and School of Graduate Education. In 2014, Geisinger launched The MyCode Community Health Initiative, a precision medicine project at Geisinger, which is the largest whole exome-sequencing project in the US that 1) is linked to the electronic health records of a single, integrated healthcare delivery system and 2) which makes a commitment to return the genetic results to the Geisinger patient/participants. Currently, there are more than 300,000+ participants in the study. We are interested in speaking to Trainees, Genetic Counselors, Medical Geneticists, Clinical Laboratory Directors, and other medical professionals about joining our team at Geisinger.
