Luc Adriaenssens is vice president of PLM and Research and Development for the copper and intelligent solution portions of the Enterprise division of CommScope. He heads the teams focused on managing, developing and growing industry leading SYSTIMAX®, Uniprise® and NETCONNECT® cabling solutions.
Luc started his career in 1986 as a cable designer at Bell Labs. He has been involved with high performance cable & connector design, standards, system applications and intelligent building platforms. He is an expert on cabling performance issues and was instrumental in shaping Cat 5 cable and Cat 6 & 6A cabling requirements. He left CommScope at the end of 2017, started his consulting company, and was rehired into his current role in August, 2023.
Luc received a bachelor’s degree in EE from Georgia Tech, a master’s degree in EE from U.C. Berkeley and an MBA from Purdue. He holds numerous patents which have grossed well over 50 million dollars in royalties for CommScope. He is located in the Dallas, TX area.
