Ace High Co. is a totally indie hair product brand that was started in Detroit Area, Michigan in 2016 by two friends passionate about hair products, wanting to create something they weren’t finding on the market. Something that had tons of hold while somehow still feeling natural, staying pliable in the hair, but still being easy to apply to ensure even application for better styling. They sought to achieve this all while still using natural ingredients. They started small with what they had, working after hours in the kitchen of a coffee shop after closing time to craft their flagship product. The resulting product, the Original Pomade was something unlike anything on the market. And the response has been huge. They’ve now scaled to a full line of high performance products that bring unique approaches to their category in beauty, and of course have since built out an actual lab, with offices and storefront on the famous Woodward Avenue in Ferndale, Michigan. It’s an unlikely story, but one that’s inspiring to anyone wanting to dive into something head first. They’ve done things unconventionally, guided mostly by gut and a passion for what they do. The story of this exciting brand is still unfolding, with their products sold all over the world, and ambitious plans for growth ahead, all still made in small batches in their facility.
