Razor Edge Systems’ humble beginnings started during the Korean War. United States Army barber John Juranitch became fascinated with the cutting edge, researching and developing ways sharpen and to keep it sharp. With limited publicly available research on the topic, Juranitch developed a method to obtain unequaled edges and devices to keep them sharp. He wrote the first book on the cutting edge, “The Razor Edge Book of Sharpening.” In the late 1960s, Juranitch founded Razor Edge Systems, and the company has transformed the sharpening industry ever since.
