Vampfangs Opens Flagship Store in Historic Salem Massachusetts
SALEM, MA, SEPTEMBER 6, 2018 -- Locals and visitors alike are waiting in anticipation for the launch of Vampfangs’ debut brick and mortar outlet, due to open in the infamous witch-lore laden City of Salem on September 6th. After 25 years, lovers of all things vampire and dark will now be able to browse the company’s bespoke, hand-designed collections in their very own flagship store, making pilgrimages to Vampfangs’ online store just one option.
Alongside the extensive custom Fang collection, customers will be able to choose from apparel and make-up line collaborations with local makers and artists. Vampfangs’ sister company Dark Alchemy, in collaboration with Courtney Joy Apothecary, debut their 2018 CBD infused skin care line to coincide with the store launch which will also include an “Apothecary Bar” where guests can customize their own dry mask. Vampfangs will also reveal four new Salem inspired apparel designs for locals and tourists alike, and will even include choice items for that “little vampire” in your life!
Continuing Vampfangs’ ongoing support of edgy, innovative, Gothic designers, new collections by Rogue & Wolf, and BlackCraft Cult will also be available. Also available are designs from Dark Alchemy, the Salem-born, locally sourced, female designed collection, which was previously only available in their online store, and select retailers.
At [2:00 P.M., September 6th] Vampfangs’ owners will cut the ribbon for the first time and throw the doors open, accompanied by Salem Mayor Kim Driscoll, Destination Salem, the Salem Chamber of Commerce, Salem Main Streets, and Creative Collective. Entertainment, giveaways, and actvities will continue until 7:00 P.M.

To celebrate their Grand Opening, and to commemorate their 25 years in business, in-store shoppers will receive 25% off any Vampfangs purchases made on September 6th. Guests will also have the chance to get a free “vamp bite” temporary tattoo sponsored by Anarchy Makeup & FX Studio (while supplies last). Courtney Joy and Dark Alchemy will offer complimentary pampering and demos of their new apothecary line. Guests will enjoy live entertainment and appearances from local performers as well as complementary photo booth and refreshments, available as the afternoon and evening continue.
Situated on historic Essex Street, the store will be designed and conceptualised by owners Alexis Abare and Benjamin Selecky. Vampfangs will incorporate iconography reflecting the complimentary worlds of all things light and dark within a socially conscious and hyper-local mindset. The owners of Vampfangs bring a fresh approach to their store design. Driven by upscale minimalism, the clean, modern aesthetic appeals to the tourism market as well as enthusiasts of the macabre and dark. The store itself is situated right on the acclaimed Salem Heritage Trail, a red line trail that connects all of Salem’s main sites.
