RhizoSorb – Better Roots, Better Turf
Phospholutions develops innovative technologies to improve fertilizer efficiency, maximize plant uptake, and manage soil fertility with respect for the environment. Our RhizoSorb technology is used to improve nutrient retention, facilitate plant uptake, and promote root growth for more stress tolerant turf. The patented technology was developed at Penn State University.
The basis of our technology revolves around controlling the release of key nutrients like phosphorus; maintaining availability and reducing the amount that washes away. By manipulating phosphorus availability, RhizoSorb increases root hair density and forces roots to grow deeper in the soil. Deeper roots enable turf to better withstand wilting in summer months, efficiently acquire nutrients from the soil, and better defend against stress and disease.
