  • Nuvera Fuel Cells Partners with Hytech Engineering & Services AS for Zero-Emission Machinery

    Nuvera Fuel Cells, LLC, a provider of fuel cell power solutions for industrial applications, has received a purchase order and signed a memorandum of understanding with Hytech AS. The engineering and services firm based in Klepp Stasjon, Norway will evaluate the use of Nuvera® E-45 Fuel Cell Engines for stationary power uses.

    Hytech is also exploring the development of hydrogen powered hydraulic pumps and auxiliary power units using Nuvera’s fuel cell solutions.

    Nuvera Fuel Cells, LLC, a manufacturer of heavy-duty, zero-emission fuel cell engines for on- and off-road mobility and other applications, has entered into a strategic relationship with Dayco, a leading engine products and drive systems manufacturer for the automotive, heavy-duty, and industrial market segments, to provide fully integrated fuel cell solutions for commercial vehicles.

    Nuvera’s unique patented controls and flexible applications architecture for fuel cells, along with Dayco’s capabilities and products for high-performance propulsion systems, are expected to allow for improved system performance, durability, and reliability with high quality assurance and scalability.

  • Nuvera Announces Fuel Cell Engine Order from European Systems Integrator

    Nuvera Fuel Cells, LLC, a manufacturer of heavy-duty, zero-emission fuel cell systems, announces an order for an E-Series Fuel Cell Engine from Devinn, a systems integrator and product development company based in the Czech Republic. Devinn provides power solutions for both motive and stationary applications and will use the Nuvera® E-60 engine to power its H2BOT semi-autonomous battery electric vehicle charging unit. The project is financed by a European Union (EU) partnership to accelerate research and development in hydrogen as a power source.

    Winning the competitive bid allows Nuvera to provide Devinn a zero-emission option for a mobile, independent source of electrical energy using hydrogen fuel cells and variable power outputs, providing universal power and charging opportunities. The H2BOT system is engineered for use in public parking lots, substituting static charging points and providing independence from the electric grid.

    With high-performance fuel cell stack technology at its core, Nuvera’s E-60 fuel cell engine enables electrified power plants and powertrains for material handling equipment, buses, trucks, off-road vehicles and stationary equipment. The E-60 engine provides 59 kW net output power to meet both motive and mobile equipment performance requirements. Nuvera E-Series Fuel Cell Engines include a fully integrated compressor and patented control logic for optimized operation.

  • Nuvera Appoints Kedar D. Murthy as Chief Commercial Officer

    Nuvera Fuel Cells, LLC, a provider of fuel cell power solutions for motive applications, has announced the appointment of Kedar D. Murthy as chief commercial officer (CCO). 

    As CCO, Mr. Murthy will oversee the development, sale and distribution of cost-effective fuel cell solutions for commercial and industrial applications for OEM customer and end-user success in the global transition to zero-emission vehicles and equipment. He will also be responsible for providing aftermarket service and support to customers worldwide.

    Mr. Murthy has more than two decades of management experience at both large and small companies and in the commercialization of new technologies. He most recently served as chief commercial officer at Boston Materials Inc., where he was responsible for business strategy, building a pipeline for global revenue growth and developing strategic supply chain relationships. Previously, Mr. Murthy was vice president and general manager of Lehigh Technologies Inc., building a startup sustainable specialty materials company acquired by Michelin. He was also executive vice president of the global OEM business at GPX International and held several senior leadership positions at Cabot Corporation and General Electric.
