    For the second consecutive year, Inova Payroll, an award-winning payroll and human resources services provider, has landed on the Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing private companies in the United States. With 112 percent growth over three years, Inova took the #2980 spot on the list.

    “I am very proud of our growth over the last three years,” said Farsheed Ferdowsi, Inova Payroll’s founder, president, and CEO. “Earning a spot on the Inc. 5000 list again is the result of the care we take with our employer clients and the work and talents of our amazing team of payroll and HR professionals.”

    Inova’s growth model focuses on high-touch customer service for every client. This begins with a consultative approach to determine what each employer needs and wants and continues with streamlining the onboarding process to create a smooth transition.

    “Over the years, we’ve found that the transition process can be intimidating and may keep employers from switching payroll companies, even when they’re not particularly happy with their current service. I believe one of the factors spurring our growth is our commitment to a seamless, easy transition,” Ferdowsi said.

    “Our clients aren’t filling out complex paperwork, populating data into a spreadsheet template required by the vendor, or doing data entry into new software. Unlike many of our competitors, we do the heavy lifting in getting our clients’ data converted and use technology to keep the transition as easy as possible.”

    Inova’s experienced conversion teams, which make up around 25 percent of overall staff, complete the majority of the process for the client. The teams transition hundreds of companies a year, including those in complex industries such as health care and resource-sensitive organizations such as nonprofits. The process includes one-on-one training for the client to ensure success using Inova’s payroll and HR software.

  • Inova Payroll is once again a Bronze Stevie® Award winner in the category of Customer Service Department of the Year – Financial Services – Up to 100 Employees. This is the third Stevie® Award for the national payroll and human resources services provider.

    The company’s nomination for customer service department of the year was a direct result of Inova’s creation of a new support team that focused on helping clients with new and complex federal reporting requirements, specifically around the Affordable Care Act.

    “Since a portion of the information to be reported was already being captured in our payroll system, we knew this was a good opportunity for us to expand our services and guide our clients through this new reporting process,” said Farsheed Ferdowsi, Founder, President, and CEO for Inova Payroll. “Because so much of the process was new and still being created by the federal government in 2015, we knew it was going to be a point of confusion for our customers. Our creation of this team was started before many of our customers even realized how much help they would need.”

    By the IRS reporting deadlines for ACA, which fell in the first half of 2016, the advanced HR services team, along with help from client support and the tax department, had accomplished the following:
    • Developed and conducted ACA reporting and system training for over 500 companies.
    • Supported 491 organizations with the population of data in the payroll system, including health benefits data gathered from outside sources.
    • Printed 35,509 1095-C forms for our clients to furnish to their employees by the March 31, 2016, deadline.
    • Filed 35,509 1095-C forms and 491 1094-C forms to the IRS on behalf of our clients, with no deliveries falling outside IRS deadlines.

    In order to successfully guide companies through the complex processes, the advanced HR services team earned certifications including Certified Healthcare Reform Specialist® from the Health Care Reform Center & Policy Institute and Senior Professional in Human Resources® from the HR Certification Institute.
