    Powerful, Two-Way, Future-Proof Platform...

  • The NeXgen Gateway (NXG) is a platform especially designed for MDU applications, and is capable of handling a variety of inputs to a multitude of outputs. This next generation module-based system offers owners and operators the flexibility to provide video programming from any source, such as IP, broadcast, local encoding, cable, fiber, and OTT to meet the needs of any MDU venue application, including hotels, apartment complexes, hospitals, and universities.

The NXG addresses the challenges of migrating to future IP-DRM content protection practices while supporting today’s M-Card ingest encryption.

  • Blonder Tongue CMTS Series
Blonder Tongue Has Your DOCSIS 3.0 and 3.1 Needs Covered...

  • Blonder Tongue is expanding its CMTS product line to cover the full scope of small, medium, and large-size deployments in Hotel, MDU, and Campus environments for two-way data services on a coaxial network.

For those interested in medium- to large-size DOCSIS 3.1 deployments, the BT-CMTS-31000, which will be released by July, 2018, is capable of operating in “Mix-Mode”, giving the flexibility to provide service to DOCSIS 3.1 and DOCSIS 3.0 cable modems simultaneously. This feature gives system operators a convenient way of migrating to DOCSIS 3.1, and makes it possible for gradual or partial deployments of DOCSIS 3.1 modems to assist in controlling upgrade expenses. Partial deployments of DOCSIS 3.1 provide premium data service to those customers that subscribe to it, or, in a hotel environment, it can section specific rooms or suites that offer additional amenities, including the premium data service offered at increased room rates.

Blonder Tongue’s best-selling BT-CMTS-3000 is capable of supporting DOCSIS/EuroDOCSIS cable modems in amounts up to 400 for DOCSIS 3.0, or 500 for DOCSIS 2.0.  The BT-CMTS-3210, expected to be released 3Q-2018, is designed to support up to 1000 DOCSIS 3.0/2.0 cable modems and is designed for larger-scale hotel environments.
