  • Historic Pinehurst Resort Successfully Deploys Beachy’s 5G Mobile POS Solution to Modernize F&B Operations Across Six Golf Courses

    The famed golf resort has seen an immediate impact on guest service levels and F&B revenue with the technology leader’s integrated tablet-based solution.

    Miramar Beach, Fla. (February 10, 2022) – Beachy, a leading provider of next- generation SaaS solutions and services for the country’s leading resorts, today announced that Pinehurst Resort has successfully deployed its innovative 5G-supported mobile point-of-sale (POS) solution. Leveraging a powerful 5G-enabled communication platform that integrates with the property’s existing POS software, Beachy’s new tablet- based solution ensures that Pinehurst can provide seamless food and beverage (F&B) service to players on six of its world-class golf courses.

    “Beachy’s ability to connect directly to our existing POS and provide an easy-to-use cellular application for our beverage cart attendants is crucial,” said Ed Nickelson, director of information technology for Pinehurst Resort. “Our team members would take Beachy into every inch of the property if they could, because they find it to be such an easy product to use.     Offering the best in golf, spa, tennis and Southern hospitality for more than 100 years, Pinehurst is home to the renowned No. 2 golf course, a three-time U.S. Open site, and is a three-time winner of Travel + Leisure magazine’s Best Golf Resort in America award.

    “All of the transactions on six of our golf courses are going through the Beachy platform,” said Nickelson. “It had an almost immediate impact on sales. For us, it’s certainly been a game changer and we’re looking at more locations on property to deploy it.”

    While check sizes are going up and tips are increasing on the six courses, Pinehurst is also seeing an improvement in loss prevention due to a reduction in declined credit cards. Additionally, the property can accept more payment options like Apple Pay®, and players can keep tabs open and pay at the end of their  round –  a  significant benefit for beverage cart attendants and players alike.

    For Food and Beverage Manager Jessica Cunningham, Beachy has streamlined payroll and significantly decreased the time it takes her to calculate each attendant’s earnings, as it adds tips automatically from their tablets. Additionally, training her team on the solution was quick and easy.

    Award-Winning Destination Kohler Deploys Beachy’s 5G Mobile POS Solution to Optimize Food & Beverage, Golf and Retail Operations

    Miramar Beach, Fla. (May 3, 2022) – Beachy, a leading provider of next-generation solutions and services for the country’s leading resorts, today announced that Destination Kohler – which is part of Kohler Co. – has successfully deployed its innovative mobile point-of-sale (POS) solution in multiple areas of the five-star resort’s hospitality operation.     The Destination Kohler team installed Beachy’s mobile POS solution, Beachy Food & Beverage, at the Whistling Straits golf course and realized the solution could improve guest service at several additional outlets. The team deployed the solution to serve guests at outdoor spaces of the Lodge Kohler hotel in Green Bay, setting up satellite bars with Beachy’s unique, sunlight-friendly tablets. To date, Kohler has deployed Beachy Food & Beverage on the world-renowned golf courses of Whistling Straits, at Lodge Kohler in Green Bay, and for its popular retail chocolate business in Chicago – with plans to expand to additional resort outlets later this year.
