The Universal square flange comes with a threaded bushing desinged to fit a 1/2 vlave.  The bushing can be extended up to 1.5 additional length to add to the 2" sleeve for an overall length of 3.5" to reach the gas valve.  The bushing can be removed to create a 3/4" opening to fit the 3/4" threaded valve throat.
