Blaschak is located in the Anthracite region in NE Pennslylvania. Blaschak has multiple mining operations and two processing plants along with the largest anthracite bagging operation in the US. The mining operations are operated under "reclamation mining permits". These permits allow us to clean-up old and abandoned areas that were mined in the past. In the process the remaining anthracite is removed and the land is brought back to a more natural state.
Anthracite is used in multiple ways. Home heating, steel production, water filtration, coal fired pizza baking and other industries that require a valuable source of carbon.
