MAM has more than 40 years of experience in providing babies and their parents with products that are functional, comfortable and safe. In that time we have perfected every aspect of our business so that it all works towards the same goal – ensuring the health and happiness of your baby.
The MAM philosophy
At MAM, we believe that the most important thing isn’t our profits or our reputation but the satisfaction of our customers and the safety and good health of MAM babies.
This philosophy of putting your baby first shapes everything we do. It has a substantial impact on the way we do business and the methods and materials we use to develop our many different baby care products. It’s also what has made MAM a respected pioneer and innovator in the industry.

The MAM product range covers everything growing babies need, from bottles, cups, pacifiers and teethers to feeding accessories and sterilizing tools. We also offer personalized and gift products that combine safety excellence with style and fun.
MAM products are developed by experts and draw on the experience of individuals from many different sectors including medical practitioners, scientists, midwives, child development experts and designers. Having this diverse input into our product ranges helps us to create the best solutions possible.
Safety and testing
We know the most important thing to parents when purchasing a product is the health and safety of their baby. That’s why we make sure that all of our products are extensively tested. But we don’t just test them to meet the required standards and regulations. We exceed these in order to ensure that they’re completely safe and fit for purpose.
To give you an idea of how much testing we do, MAM bottles are tested in 28 different ways. Pacifiers undergo 40 different tests before being made available for sale. In 2012, we spent a total of approximately 7,500 hours on testing.
Drawing from customers’ experience
MAM has a considerable amount of expertise and knowledge to draw from during the creation of its products. But we also take the actual experiences and opinions of our customers very seriously and actively use these in the creation of our products.
Over a four-year period between 2009 and 2013, we carried out more than a hundred market research surveys across the globe. We surveyed approximately 25,000 mothers across more than a dozen countries, including the UK, Sweden, USA, China and Brazil in order to make sure that we were taking the needs of babies and their parents into account across geographical and cultural boundaries.
Safe materials for healthier babies
In the production of all of its products, MAM uses materials that are:
- BPA & BPS free
- PVC free
- Completely safe for play
In addition, many of our products are heat-resistant for easy and thorough cleaning.
Many of our products are made of plastic because this is the most suitable material to fulfill all of these criteria. MAM is an expert in the design and production of baby care items from plastics, and our founder has an extensive background as a qualified plastics engineer.
Where does MAM source its products?
MAM baby products are made in our own factories in Hungary and Thailand. Materials for our products are responsibly sourced from reliable and properly regulated suppliers in these regions as well as from Austrian suppliers.
Packaging and printing
As well as making sure that all of our products are 100% safe, we ensure that all packaging and printing is equally as safe. All packaging used by MAM is completely free of BPA, BPS, PVC and all other chemicals which could potentially enter the body. Any printing directly on our products (for example, on bottles and pacifiers, etc.) uses harmless pigment-based inks.

More than 25 percent of MAM’s global sales are generated in the U.S. MAM is an active and involved member of the Juvenile Products Association (JPMA), an organization dedicated to promoting the safe use of juvenile goods. In addition, MAM’s CEO Jennifer Mitchell is on the JPMA board.
