TreeDiaper is a patented, multifunctional plant protection system featuring slow-releasing irrigation, auto-recharging with rain/snow, salt damage mitigation, weed control & extreme weather protections. By absorbing rain or irrigation water before slowly releasing it back when soil dries, it significantly boosts the field capacity and plant available water. When used properly, it promotes healthy outward root growth that facilitates establishment of newly planted trees and shrubs and enhances the long term health. TreeDiaper also protects plants against salt damages by releasing extra water to wash off the salts. It works for all types soils by increasing the Plant Available Water without drowning the root system. It is a four-season watering technology that can significantly reduce watering need, including winter when most irrigation systems are on strike. It is the best irrigation product for Green Stormwater Infrastructure (GSI), where the porous media doesn't hold moisture very well. TreeDiaper allows the use of the abundant stormwater to stabilize soil moisture. Case Studies:

TreeDiaper TD36R has a 36" diameter and it is recommended for trees with a rootball around 18" diameter. For trees that have much larger rootball, consider larger sizes of TreeDiaper systems. If rootball sizes are not available, TD36R can be used for trees or shrubs up to 3 inch caliper. Consider 2-3 years of caliper growth prior to the tree's establishment. TreeDiaper36 is made of two half rings, which can easily placed around multi-stem shrubs. Simply soak the mat in water to get it started, then place it around your plants. Cover with mulch reduces vandalism.

When used properly, it promotes healthy outward root growth that facilitates establishment of newly planted trees and shrubs and enhances the long term health.
TreeDiaper TD48R has a 48" diameter and it is recommended for trees with a rootball around 24" diameter. For trees that have much larger rootball, consider use more than one units of TD48. If rootball sizes are not available, TD48R can be used for trees or shrubs up to 4 inch caliper. Consider 3-4 years of caliper growth prior to the tree's establishment. TreeDiaper48 is made of four quarter rings, which can easily placed around multi-stem shrubs. Simply soak the mat in water to get it started, then place it around your plants. Cover with mulch reduces vandalism.
TreeDiaper TD24R has a 24" diameter and it is recommended for trees with a rootball around 12" diameter. For trees that have much larger rootball, consider larger sizes of TreeDiaper systems. If rootball sizes are not available, TD24R can be used for trees or shrubs up to 1.5 inch caliper. Consider 1-2 years of caliper growth prior to the tree's establishment. TreeDiaper24 is made of one piece single ring with a slit for easy installation around tree trunks. It may be difficult to install on multi-stem shrubs. So consider the multi-peice units (TD36 and TD48) for multi-stem trees and shrubs. Simply soak the mat in water to get it started, then place it around your plants. Cover with mulch reduces vandalism.
TreeDiaper TD20R has a 20" diameter and it is recommended for trees with a rootball around 10" diameter. For trees that have much larger rootball, consider larger sizes of TreeDiaper systems. If rootball sizes are not available, TD20R can be used for trees or shrubs up to 1 inch caliper. Consider 1-2 years of caliper growth prior to the tree's establishment. This TreeDiaper® garden mat is great for your raised bed or backyard gardens! Simply soak the mat in water to get it started, then place it around your plants. The garden mat is designed to fit most gardens beds for flowers, veggies, or herbs. It can be arranged to satisfy the watering needs and to fit the spacing of most plants: a single mat for double row, double mat for a single row, or a single mat for a single row. It is the best watering methods for your winter plants when all other irrigation systems are on strike! When you kept them outdoor during the winter time, it will catch and store the rain/snow/ice water that would otherwise be runoff for next growing season. It also helps plant against salt and cold damages.
Water release rate varies depending on soil moisture, temperature, air flow and humidity. In one test, the mat continued to release water for a full two months. In our raised bed garden trial, the garden was only watered once a month during the droughts in 2020 season.
TreeDiaper TD18R has a 18" diameter and it is recommended for trees with a rootball around 9" diameter. For trees that have much larger rootball, consider larger sizes of TreeDiaper systems. If rootball sizes are not available, TD18R can be used for trees or shrubs up to 3/4 inch caliper. Consider 1-2 years of caliper growth prior to the tree's establishment. TreeDiaper18R is made of one piece single ring with a slit for easy installation around tree trunks. It may be difficult to install on multi-stem shrubs. So consider the multi-peice units (TD36 and TD48) for multi-stem trees and shrubs. It can also be used for container plants, for which the openings of the containers is 16-18". Simply soak the mat in water to get it started, then place it around your plants. Cover with mulch reduces vandalism.

Its user friendly circular shape is designed to be placed on top of various types of soil. The slow release keeps soil moist without let water run through the soil and spill on your floor.
