The Rhode Island Nurseries, Inc. was started in 1895 by V.A. Vanicek, an immigrant from Czechoslovakia. Current President, Bruce Vanicek is a fourth generation nurseryman.   Jesse Rodrigues, Jr., a second generation employee, is the General Manager. Bambi Roth-Nuki, is our office manager and bookkeeper.  

CLIMATE

            Situated in Narragansett Bay on approximately 500 acres, Aquidneck Island offers the nursery fantastic advantages for growing plants.

MARKET

            Our market encompasses all of New England, the mid-West, the Eastern Seaboard and Canada. In the mid-West we ship primarily to Illinois, Michigan and Wisconsin.
