Welcome to the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association
ASHA is the national professional, scientific and credentialing association for audiologists; speech-language pathologists (SLPs); speech-language and hearing scientists; audiology and speech-language pathology assistants; and students. ASHA members work with people of all ages in a variety of settings, including health care facilities, schools, and private clinics. Audiologists prevent, assess and treat hearing, balance and related disorders. SLPs work to prevent, identify, assess, and treat speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders. Our vision is making effective communication, a human right, accessible and achievable for all.
