Monimoto is a fully autonomous smart alarm and GPS tracking system for motorcycles, scooters, and other mobile property. The device is user friendly, energy-efficient, and affordable. With a 100 percent organic year-on-year growth and over 10,000 customers in Europe, it is expanding in North America and looking for reliable trade partners.
“Every aspect of our lives has been significantly affected by the COVID-19 pandemic: the crime rates are rising, and feelings of uncertainty and insecurity create an even stronger need for people to protect their property. We invented Monimoto as an anti-theft solution for motorcycles, but during these uncertain times, our customers started using our products to secure a broad range of valuable assets from camper vans to expensive goods such as garden furniture. This inspired us to further develop our technology and adapt it to niche markets,” says Rolandas Dranseika, Monimoto’s CEO.
Smart and efficient technology
To create Monimoto’s smart alarm system, the developers combined GPS, GSM/3G, Low Energy Bluetooth, and other technologies. The device comes with a pre-installed SIM card and an activated GSM roaming service plan. Once the Monimoto is purchased, there are no service fees, so clients only need an active SIM card.
- The device offers a significant advantage over standard GPS trackers in promptness of sounding an alarm by calling users’ cell phones in 50 seconds combined with the vehicle’s location detection and reporting included in the app.
- It’s also much cheaper when compared with professionally installed systems that are expensive and require maintenance. Customers can install the device themselves in less than 10 minutes.
- Single-use, autonomous batteries power the Monimoto device and don't drain bikes’ battery power.
Monimoto helps fight crime
Monimoto has already returned thousands of stolen motorcycles and scooters to their rightful owners. In one particular case in the UK, Monimoto helped the police track and arrest an entire gang of thieves that significantly reduced the region's motorcycle theft crime rate.
Organic and stable growth
Monimoto’s team of passionate riders has been developing innovative anti-theft solutions for motorcycles since 2013. The company is based in Vilnius, Lithuania.
This year, it received a €300,000 grant from the EU to further develop its products and adapt them to a broader use for vehicles and movable property.
Monimoto has been growing organically by 100 percent year-on-year and has contracts with the biggest distributors in the UK, Germany, France, Italy, Portugal, and Spain.
“We are scaling our business up by expanding into North America. We’d like to invite retailers and distributors to come to our stand at AIMEXPO 2021 and find out more about our company. We believe we can offer an exciting opportunity for trade partners in the United States. We hope you are as excited as us to take part in the development of smart and effective security technologies," says Dranseika.
