Connection 4.0: Link Up

Home Care and Hospice Conference and Expo | October 23-25, 2022 | St. Louis, Missouri

Fueling growth, advancing quality in health care, and advocating for the industry have been at the heart of what we do since 1982. This year, the National Association for Home Care & Hospice wants to celebrate one of the most meaningful touchstones of our industry – connection. The art of connecting is how we together support more than two million nurses, therapists, aides, and other caregivers that provide in-home services to 12 million Americans. Connection is key to promoting health and preventing illness – understanding experiences, perspectives, combined with the power of communication, is how we'll continue to impact home care and hospice. So let's link up, lead, and plan big changes in home care and hospice.

Changes brought on by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic have already accelerated developments in health care with at-home technologies and testing, telehealth, robots, and Zoom annual check-ups. This increase in interconnectivity has signaled significant changes in the industry while further underscoring the need for real human connections.

Moments of spontaneous connections are more challenging to create in remote and hybrid environments. Therefore, we encourage our members to be more proactive about nurturing and maintaining relationships, especially given how important connecting is to patient care. Home care and hospice have never depended more on human connections than it does now, even as we embrace technology. So, consider this: without the help of our colleagues, support of our family and friends, and unity of our communities – can we be our best selves?

When Lewis and Clark set out from St. Louis in 1804 to explore the vast new Louisiana Territory, the goal was to forge unbreakable connections between these lands and the rest of the United States. When we meet in October in St. Louis, under the shadow of the Gateway Arch, we will create new connections and strengthen existing ones, and from it will emerge a stronger, smarter, more interconnected community of home care and hospice providers.

We'll explore this and more at the 2022 Home Care and Hospice Conference and Expo, the connecting point for our global community of clinicians and providers to uncover groundbreaking ideas, discover new interests, and network with industry pros.

Registration opens in June.
