Description

With the new CMS hospice survey changes which includes enforcement remedies and increased regulatory scrutiny on the hospice survey process, the importance of a robust, ongoing survey readiness program cannot be overstated. Hospice leaders need to understand more than ever the importance of key survey readiness priorities to avoid CMS survey enforcement remedies and ensure regulatory compliance. This interactive program focuses on changes to the survey process with hospice survey reform as well as top survey issues and regulatory challenges faced by hospices during the COVID-19 pandemic that will shape surveys for years to come. Specific strategies hospice leaders can implement to demonstrate hospice-wide compliance will be discussed.

impact hospice surveys in 2022 and beyond.
2. Summarize the top survey/regulatory compliance issues for hospice providers and recommended
clinical, leadership and operational strategies to facilitate survey readiness.
3. Discuss the importance of agency leadership and staff engagement to implement to ensure quality
of care and proactively demonstrate ongoing compliance with the Hospice Medicare Conditions of
Participation, and identify resources hospice leaders can use to establish an ongoing survey
readiness culture and process within their organizations.
