Susan Mitchell Mattera is a registered nurse of 35+ years with 30 years of home care and hospice experience. Susan has worked for Kaiser Permanente for 32 years in performance improvement, utilization, Quality, and home care. Susan is a Southern California and Hawaii Regional Practice Leader for Quality Continuing Care and provides leadership and oversight for Quality, Compliance, and Operations to ensure safe effective performance improvement practice to promote positive patient outcomes. Susan is also a Gold Star daughter whose Father was killed in the Vietnam War. Susan builds and gives away homes in Vietnam for poverty level families as a way to turn tragedy into hope for healing journeys as part of the 2 Sides Project non profit organization where she serves as a board director. Susan serves on local, state, national and international boards in various positions which focus on improving the lives.
