Profile

Lisa Dillon Zwerdling, serves as Chief Employee Experience Officer, Vice President of Internal Care Coordination and Chair of Employee Engagement for the VNA Health Group, the nation’s second largest not-for-profit home health organization serving New Jersey, Ohio and Florida. Lisa is responsible for building and maintaining programs that excite employees, working with leaders to promote understanding of quantitative and qualitative engagement data and emphasizing the development of a positive organizational culture of service excellence, equity and inclusion. In early 2020, she became actively involved in the COVID-19 pandemic response and helped create what is now a robust Employee Health Department, ensuring that the health and safety of employees and patients are the number one priority. Lisa has been working for VNA Health Group for 28 years in direct patient care and nursing administration. She is a Board Certified Geriatric Nurse, holds a Master’s degree in Nursing Administration, graduate certificates in Healthcare Management & Leadership from Stevens Institute of Technology, and Diversity and Inclusion from Cornell University. She holds certifications in Holistic Human Employee Experience (HEX), Employee Engagement and Performance and Chronic Care Self-management.

She has presented at many local and national conferences on topics ranging from clinical nursing, home health care, and employee and patient experience. She is the recipient of numerous awards, including the 2006 VNA Health Group Nurse of the Year Award, and the 2009 Visiting Nurse Association of America Clinician of the Year Award. Lisa is an active volunteer with the American Red Cross and Marine Mammal Stranding Center, working on many national disasters, including Hurricanes Katrina, Rita, Irene, and Sandy. She lives at the Jersey shore with her husband and two dogs and enjoys spending time with her four children and their spouses, and her four beautiful grandchildren.
