Profile
Brian Gates received his Pharm.D. from Washington State University (WSU) College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences in 1999. He completed a one-year residency in geriatrics followed by a 2 year fellowship in geriatrics through WSU and Providence VNA Home Health in Spokane, WA. He continued with WSU and Providence VNA and has over 22 years of experience in home health as a consultant pharmacist. He is a Clinical Professor of Pharmacotherapy for WSU, is board certified in geriatrics, and is part of the college’s Geriatrics Research Team. He is a preceptor for pharmacy students at Providence VNA as part of his practice. His research focuses on the impact of pharmacists in the home healthcare setting and safe medication use.
