Janet Burgess is currently the Director for the Home Health Program at Duke HomeCare and Hospice. She has been a Registered Nurse for over 35 years with 28 of those years as a leader in Home and Community Based Care. Janet holds a BS degree in nursing and has completed graduate classes in Business Administration. She has experience in healthcare operations, financial planning, budgeting, project planning, and is certified in Executive Nursing Practice through the American Organization for Nursing Leadership. Janet believes that as a leader in home health, she plays a part in helping people receive high quality skilled care in their home which is the best place they can be. She is passionate about leading others and helping them achieve and perform at their highest potential.
Janet lives in Durham with her husband and in her free time enjoys traveling and spending time at the beach.
