Jan Wood has been with the Provider Outreach and Education unit as a consultant for 16 years and with NGS 34 years. Jan began in February 1988 and started in the Medicare Secondary Payer (MSP) unit. Jan spent many years as an MSP claims processor, subrogation investigator and MSP review auditor, all of which contributed to making her an MSP Nerd. In 2006 Jan joined the Provider Outreach & Education group. For the last several years, Jan has been with the Home Health and Hospice team for both Jurisdiction 6 and Jurisdiction K. Jan is responsible for training on hospice billing.
