Tracie Morgan is currently the Lead Nurse Practitioner and Manager for the Integrative and Palliative Medicine Programs, with Gilchrist, at Greater Baltimore Medical Center. Over the past 20 years, Tracie has devoted her practice to educating and raising awareness of Informed Decision-Making at End of Life for her patients, families, staff, and colleagues. Tracie was named by The Daily record as Nurse Practitioner of the Year 2021, receiving the Healthcare Hero Award. And was a Top 3 finalist for GBMC, the Art of Nursing Awards, for Leader of the Year 2022.
Tracie graduated with a BSN, Psychology Minor from West Chester University, West Chester, PA, in 1993. Attended the University of Maryland, Baltimore, received her Master’s and completed the Adult Nurse Practitioner Certificate program, graduating in May 2000.
Tracie has also completed both her Doctorate of Nursing Practice degree and her Certificate in the Nursing and Health Professions Teaching Program, at the University of Maryland, Baltimore, graduating May 2010, with a focus on End-of-Life Care in the Older Adult residing in the Long-Term Care setting.
Tracie is actively involved in her professional organizations and community. She is a member of NPAM, GAPNA, and Sigma Theta Tau. Additionally, she participates as an active Committee member with NPHI (National Partnership for Healthcare and Hospice Innovation), as well as NHPCO, nationally and locally. She is an active UMSON alumni and currently holds an At-large member position on the Alumni Council. Tracie also holds her CAPC Designation in Palliative Care.
Tracie presents nationally and locally, and in the past has presented at the 2016 NAHC Conference in Orlando, FL, the 2017 NHPCO Management and Leadership Conference in Washington, DC, and at the NAHC Financial Management Conference, Hartford, CT, on Palliative Care and Strategic Partnerships, and most recently, in November 2019, co-presented at the CAPC Conference in Atlanta, GA.
