Description
End-of-life is one of the most vulnerable times for patients and their families. And, what many do not understand is that there is a significant amount of stress on family caregivers as they care for their loved ones throughout this process. Electing the hospice benefit to support this process can be a life saver for many of these families. But unfortunately due to staffing constraints, regulatory fears, and financial scrutiny there are times when families do not receive optimal hospice care. Resulting in lower family satisfaction and a negative end of life experience. In this interactive presentation attendees will hear from Lead Industry Researcher, Lindsay Doak and CEO of one of the largest hospices Alivia Care, Susan Ponder-Stansel, as they share data driven best practices for optimal hospice performance. This includes best practices in care delivery, integrated technologies that can relieve family burden, patient and family centered care strategies, and more.
